Zoo Closure During National Lockdown

1st Jun 2020

Following the government announcement on the 4th January 2021, the zoo is now closed until further notice.

We would like to thank all our visitors and supporters over the past year throughout the times when we were able to open and through the lockdowns, we wouldn't be here without your help!

Due to the current situation with Covid-19 and the national lockdown restrictions, we are now closing down the Christmas tree recycling scheme for this year and asking people not to drop off trees with us. We hope to be back next year with a bigger and better scheme in 2022.

Managing Director, Larry Bush commented "We are so thankful for all your support during 2020 and at the start of the new lockdown,  We have received so many messages of support and we are very grateful to those who chose to donate to the zoo or purchase an animal adoption."

Our new Farm Shop, at the top of the zoo car park, will remain open as an essential service. It will be open 9am to 4.30pm Monday through to Sunday, providing all the essentials including a range of fresh fruit & vegetables, local meats, cheese, flour, freshly prepared frozen meals prepared by our zoo chefs and a range of takeaway hot drinks and snacks.

We will be extending our memberships by the duration of the latest closure and extending the validity of animal experiences that have been delayed.

Whilst we are sad to close to the public, we understand the necessity of the lockdown and will work with our local and national government to reopen the zoo to the public as soon as it is safe to do so.

Best wishes to all, stay safe and healthy.
