Half-term is here!

18th Feb 2016

Capybara2016

We’re just about halfway through the half-term week, but there’s still plenty of time left to get out and about and enjoy the holidays! Here at Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm there’s no sign of the excitement slowing, as we continue to enjoy busy days spent with our friendly visitors!

In fact, there’s no such thing as a ‘typical’ visitor to Noah’s Ark; families, couples and lone adventurers often pass through our gates seeking some animal fun on our 100-acre site. We think it is our friendly and unique charm that helps make Noah’s Ark a place of enjoyment for people of all ages; in fact we’re ranked as one of the south west’s top tourist attractions.

We think our mix of adventure playgrounds, educational exhibits and, of course, huge number of animal attractions is what makes our visitors come back again and again – not forgetting the huge array of daily events and special activities we’re constantly hosting! Our recent Valentine’s Day event – Woo at the Zoo – attracted a huge crowd as we encouraged our loved-up guests to have fun with animal enrichment games and tasks, and to watch and partake in some arts and crafts at the Moatwell barn on site. Have a look at some of the best pictures from the event on our website. But it’s not just half term and the recent passing of Valentine’s Day that’s got us excited; there’s something much bigger around the corner – the advent of Spring! It has so nearly sprung there’s definitely an electric feeling in the air.

And our animals can definitely sense it, too. We’ve just started welcoming some of the first baby animals of 2016 into the world, and being a farm as well as a fully-fledged zoo, the pitter-patter of tiny feet is slowly getting louder and louder! In fact, we've already welcomed a number of new-born farmyard favourites so far this year – and it’s only February!

A number of piglets, baby capybara and lambs have already made an appearance this season so if you’re in need of some baby animal therapy, come and see them this half term. We even let you feed the lambs at the end of our twice-daily Animal Show, so you can get up close and personal.

And there’s yet more to come we’re sure, so don’t miss out on watching nature take its course and think about paying us a visit this Spring. We’re open Monday to Saturday from 10:30am to 5:00pm and ensure that every day is special with a full programme of exciting events.
