Indoor and Outdoor Play

January has hit and it seems that those winter chills we missed out on over the Christmas period have finally made an appearance, too. Now, don’t let this news put you off going outside. While it is undeniably getting chillier, we can’t help but secretly feel a little bit pleased – we just love being able to layer up and go for a stroll out in the crisp, winter air. Since we haven’t been able to wear our woolly hats and scarves very much recently, it will be nice to be able to pull on some of our winter wardrobe over the coming weeks. That being said, one of the best parts of getting out into the winter air is getting back inside again; somewhere toasty to remove the excess layers and warm up. Thankfully, here at Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm we have the perfect mix of the two – we’ve not only got 100 acres of outdoor animal park to explore, but 25,000 square feet of indoor play areas and information zones to discover as well. And the best part? They’re all heated!

That’s right, we’re more than just a home for big zoo animals – you and your little monkeys can enjoy wandering in and out of our 15 indoor and outdoor adventure play zones along with our larger outside enclosures, for a fun day out whatever the weather. So what are you waiting for? Layer up and come on over – our animals just love frolicking in the frost, but once the cold starts to bite you can pop inside for some welcome recuperation. The main animal houses (elephants, rhinos and giraffes, to name a few) are all covered and heated, as are the visitor viewing galleries; so there’s no need to delay your visit due to bad weather.

Alternatively, step indoors and take a turn on our giant tube and drop slides, or on our trampolines to really get the blood pumping. For those with little ones, take a trip to the Jungle Den, an indoor soft-play barn for any under-fives needing to warm up. If you fancy staying outside but need something exciting to forget about the cold, why not take on the Hedge Maze? We have the longest maze in Europe situated on our site, so if you’re feeling confident in your navigation skills why not time how long it takes you to reach the end? If you want to really up the ante then we also have an indoor 3D Beehive Maze, too! If all this sounds a little too active, you can always just relax in our wonderfully cosy café and convenient kiosks situated around the Zoo offering hot drinks, light lunches and snacks.

But don’t just take our word for it – we won the Trip Advisor’s Certificate of Excellence award for our family-friendly, all-day-all-weather facilities thanks to the sheer volume of highly-rated user reviews we’ve received. So you know you’ll be well looked after here at Noah’s Ark. Right now, we’re helping you beat the January blues with 20% off admission costs until the end of the month and you can purchase tickets either online or at the gate. We look forward to seeing you in 2016!
