The sun has got his hat on and so have we – not only is Easter just around the corner (and that means plenty of chocolate for all) but so is the official unveiling of the Andean Adventure! We’re so excited for the following fortnight and everything it entails, so let’s waste no more time and hop-to it like the Easter bunny! Firstly we want to talk about our upcoming bear media week. Sonco and Tupa, two bear brothers from the Frankfurt Zoo in Germany will be joining us in time for the Easter Bank Holiday weekend. In the run-up to this special event we’ll be updating all our social media sites with titbits of information, so be sure to keep up with everything that’s happening before the brothers’ arrival!

And they couldn’t come at a better time – Easter Bank Holiday means a weekend of rest, relaxation and plenty of chocolate. We’re open Good Friday, Saturday and Monday and have activities lined up for the whole family, so be sure to pop along and join in with the fun. On Good Friday, Saturday and Monday we have a special Egg Trail for all to take part in, alongside a ‘Spot the Giant Easter Eggs’ competition, where we’ve hidden Easter eggs inside our animal enclosures and dare you to try and find them all!

you manage to, we’ll reward you with a chocolatey prize. But don’t just come along for the chocolate; it’s the start of spring and that means baby animals – and there are plenty. We’ve already welcomed cute lambs, baby goats, chicks and piglets and there are plenty more to come. As part of our interactive daily Animal Shows, you can also bottle feed some of the kids (baby goats) and get up close and personal. Check out our full list of daily events here.

If it’s larger animals you’re interested in, we’ve got them too – we’re home to some of the most impressive Big Zoo animals, including elephants, rhinos, big cats and giraffes. All our creatures have their own spacious habitats to roam around in with plenty of viewing space. And with the weather picking up now is the perfect time to pop along and explore our huge 100-acre site and 15 outdoor and indoor adventure play zones. Grab a coffee from one of our food kiosks and make the most of your family day out at the largest zoo in the South West; we’ve also won the Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence for three years in a row, so if you haven’t been before why not come along and find out why we’re so popular?

You can buy day tickets online for a 5% discount, making your entry to the zoo that little bit quicker and easier. Alternatively, if you keep a keen eye out around Bristol and South Wales you’ll see our new advertising billboards – text the Special Offer number and receive £5 off a Family Day ticket or £6.60 off the price of the Severn Bridge toll if you’re coming from South Wales! Chocolate, baby animals and bears… What are you waiting for?!
